One of the most rewarding parts of May’s career as a financial consultant is being able to meet people of all ages and walks of life. She has clients whose children now come to her for financial consultancy as adults.
The consistent top performer attributes this lasting power to her strong faith and three powerful little words – Gentleness, Empathy and Mindfulness or GEM for short.
May feels it is a blessing to be able to bless others with her knowledge and skills in financial advisory.
Today, she trains her own team of emerging financial consultants, imparting the same values to them, as they grow in their capabilities to serve their client’s needs holistically.
May loves working out, reading and cooking up a storm. Her favourite book is “The Little Prince,” in particular a line from it that goes: “It is the time you have wasted for the rose that makes your rose so important” To May, this thought-provocating line sums up everyone’s accountability for the situations, people and things they value and invest time in. It is a reminder to invest the precious time we each have wisely.
