Randy has worn many hats. He has been an entrepreneur, conference circuit speaker and IT guy to name some, on top of carving a successful insurance career at industry-leading insurance firms in Singapore. Starting as a rookie agent in 2009, he embarked on the management track five years later to start his own team. Over the years, Randy has mentored and groomed aspiring financial consultants who went on to achieve prestigious industry awards such as the Million Dollar Round Table, Court of the Table and the most prestigious Top of the Table.
Randy shares his thoughts after his decade-long stint as a tied agent:
“Joining SG Alliance has been a completely different experience. Here, we focus a lot on offering a complete end-to-end financial solution for clients’ personal as well as corporate financial planning needs. Now, I can take a holistic approach and provide a full range of wealth management options including insurance, investments, estate planning, and more.”
Randy is passionate about leveraging his technical training, corporate contacts and experience as an IT start-up founder to find pro-business solutions for his clients. Being able to solve clients’ problems is his key motivation, whether it is something challenging like getting a complicated hospitalisation claim approved or something as simple as registering a change of address.
Randy enjoys volunteering as a grassroots member in the Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC. In recognition of his active service since 2005, he was twice awarded the Distinguished Service Medal. He donated his bursary at his alma mater, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), as he is a staunch believer that everyone should have the opportunity to pursue an education regardless of financial ability. He also finds it highly rewarding to mentor his juniors at NTU.
