The former armour officer of the Singapore Armed Forces knows a thing or two about discipline and focus, whipping as many as 120 men into shape in the name of national defence. These leadership qualities have served Gary well after he traded his uniform for executive wear as a financial advisor. Highlights of his 15-year career include putting together a team of 350 consultants and leading them to achieve record sales and a separate team of 420 consultants and 61 agency leaders to achieve equally impressive results.
Specialising in corporate and business development and operation support, Gary is meticulous yet measured in his approach to driving sales. He explains, “I believe it’s important to set goals, as it is to be fluid and focused. The moment you miss your target, hit the reset button and realign your actions to stay on course.” His teambuilding talents and results-oriented but realistic approach will be instrumental in making SG Alliance future ready, as it embraces digitalisation and paves the way for its consultants to be digital savvy and resourceful without compromising on client engagement.
